PLASMA battery system
PROJECTS

MOBILITY · VEHICLE INTEGRATION & OFF-GRID POWER

Integrated off-grid battery system for a camper truck.

START A PROJECT

CONTEXT

The client needed a complete energy system capable of supporting the camper truck’s onboard equipment away from a fixed grid connection.

It had to combine battery storage, AC and DC power, solar generation, alternator charging and system monitoring within the available installation space.

Engineering Approach

EION configured PLASMA around the vehicle’s loads, charging sources, electrical architecture and physical constraints.

The resulting system integrates 3.7 kWh of lithium battery storage with 3,000 W AC output, up to 3,700 W DC capability, two 400 W solar panels with MPPT control and a DC/DC charging system connected to the vehicle alternator.

Display and Bluetooth monitoring provide visibility into system status during travel and off-grid operation.

System Configuration

  • 3.7 kWh lithium battery system
  • 3,000 W AC output
  • Up to 3,700 W DC capability
  • Two 400 W solar panels with MPPT controller
  • DC/DC charging system from vehicle alternator
  • Integrated AC and DC outputs

Outcome

PLASMA brings battery storage, multi-source charging, AC and DC power distribution and monitoring together in one vehicle-integrated system.

It supplies onboard equipment away from fixed grid access and can replenish energy through solar generation or the vehicle alternator.

The project demonstrates how a custom battery system can be engineered around the loads, charging opportunities and physical constraints of a mobile application.
